The unpredicted hailstorm that ripped apart parts of Johannesburg last night, has prompted Joburg EMS to be on high alert this evening.
Vehicle and homeowners incurred expenses yesterday after the hailstorm hit the northern parts of Johannesburg.
Although no serious injuries were reported, Joburg EMS and other emergency services had to conduct mop-up operations to ensure roads were cleared this morning.

In an interview, Joburg EMS spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said most affected people were motorists last night. “Last night it was mostly the motorists travelling on the N1 highway and some parts of the Joburg CBD in Braamfontein. Motorists attempting to cross areas that are dangerous were some of the challenges that we faced last night when we were responding to all these emergencies,” he explained.
