A warning has been issued by the SA Weather Services (SAWS) for HAILSTORMS in these three provinces on Friday.
According to the SAWS, the level 2 warning is in place for Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and KwaZulu-Natal until Friday.
“Localised flooding of roads, settlements, and low-lying areas, resulting in the closure of some bridges and roads possible.”

Furthermore, it said large amounts of small hail are also over an open area.

The following parts will be affected by the weather conditions.
The SAWS urged the public not to seek shelter under trees or tall objects during storms and to park cars under shelter.
“Avoid crossing flooded roads and swollen streams. Where rising water levels are observed, move to high grounds.
“Do not seek shelter under trees or tall objects. Do not go fishing or play golf, as both the golf clubs and fishing rods are good conductors of electricity during thunderstorms.”
