Maj. General. Vuyisile Ncata earlier this year strongly condemned these violent acts in a seperate incident.”Regardless of their anger, people or communities must not enforce the law. Any criminal activity should be reported to the police.”

All citizens must follow the law and inform the police of any suspects. If the community arrests a suspect, they should call the police to prevent more crimes through mob justice.

Vigilantism is not a justifiable punishment. The community should avoid assuming without verifying facts. Many times, they take the law into their own hands without reporting cases against alleged suspects, warns Ncata.
