Good says President Cyril Ramaphosa failed to get rid of corrupt and underperforming ministers in his Cabinet.

President Cyril Ramaphosa chose to retain underperforming and corrupt ministers in his re-shuffled Cabinet, says GOOD.

RAMAPHOSA FAILS TO GET RID OF CORRUPT MINISTERS

Many South Africans, who were deeply hopeful for signs of a substantial reconfiguration that would signal the President’s commitment to the fundamental transformation that the country desperately needs, are disappointed.

They will feel that the President has put his and his party’s interests above those of the country’s people.

He said Ramaphosa failed to get rid of corrupt and underperforming ministers in his Cabinet.

GOOD Secretary General and MPL Brett Herron said the appointment of Kgosientso Ramokgopa as South Africa’s first Minister of Electricity is intriguing.

RAMAPHOSA WILL STILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ESKOM

“Highly regarded in the public and private sectors, he has the unenviable task of being appointed to fix a crisis in a crowded space already occupied by the Ministers of Energy and Public Enterprises,” says Herron.

He said Ramaphosa, despite his new Minister of Electricity, will ultimately be held accountable for Eskom’s failures.
