These parts of Tshwane may be without water next week

A number of areas in the City of Tshwane will be without water on Wednesday, 4 October due to planned maintenance.

Some areas in the City of Tshwane will be without water on Wednesday, 4 October due to a planned shutdown.

The planned shutdown will last for eight hours from 08:00 – 16:00.

PLANNED WATER SHUTDOWN IN THE CITY OF TSHWANE

In a statement, the City of Tshwane said it will be conducting a tie-in connection on a bulk supply pipeline at Portion 12, Rietvalleirand 337-JR.

The municipality said although an interruption of water supply will be avoided at all cost, however, it may occur from time to time in the following areas:

  • The Hills: All extensions (Ext 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7)
  • Mooikloof Heights
  • Mooikloof Glen
  • Grootfontein Country Estate
  • Rietvlei View Country Estate

Residents have been urged to make the following conservation measures part of their normal lifestyle:

  • No watering or irrigating gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 06:00 and 18:00
  • No washing of vehicles with hosepipes
  • No filling of swimming pools
