Cape Town Spurs sign former Mamelodi Sundowns star
Cape Town Spurs have completed the signing of a former Mamelodi Sundowns star who was most recently released.

Cape Town Spurs have completed the signing of a former Mamelodi Sundowns star who was most recently released.

Surprise Ralani has returned to the Mother City where he plied his trade in before moving to Chloorkop over almost two years ago.

It was in January 2021 when Ralani left Cape Town City to join Sundowns on an 18-month deal following his impresive displays.

And while he enjoyed enough game time during his first 12 months at Sundowns, the final six months of his contract were not as pleasant.

Sundowns then decided against renewing his contract when it came to an end in June 2023 as Rhulani Mokwena took a different direction.

The arrival of the likes Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Thapelo Maseko signalled the end of Ralani’s stint at Sundowns.

Ralani, 36, left Sundowns having featured in 29 competitive matches – he scored six goals and provided three assists during his stint there.
