Wynberg: Woman gunned down near court on Thursday
An unknown woman was shot dead while walking near Wynberg Magistrate’s Court in Cape Town on Thursday morning.

A woman was shot dead by unknown gunmen near Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Thursday morning, 25 May.

Woman shot dead in Wynberg
The shooting occurred at approximately 10:45 at the corner of Church and Broady Roads in Wynberg near the local court.

Preliminary reports suggest the woman was walking in the street when unknown gunmen approached and opened fire. She succumbed to her injuries at the scene and was declared dead by medical personnel.

Motive for murder under investigation
Crime scene experts were still combing the scene at approximately 13:35. Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie said the motive for the Wynberg murder forms part of the police investigation.
