City of Tshwane updates residents on festive season refuse collection

The City of Tshwane has announced the refuse collection schedule for the festive season, including Christmas day.

In an effort to maintain the cleanliness of the city and provide seamless services to its residents, the City of Tshwane has announced that the refuse collection schedule will proceed as usual throughout the festive season. Even on public holidays, with the exception of Christmas day.

“Those residents whose refuse collection falls on 25 December 2023 (Christmas day), which is on a Monday, should take out their refuse bins for collection on Sunday, 24 December 2023,” said the City of Tshwane.

When will the normal collection schedule resume?

The regular collection schedule is set to resume promptly from Tuesday, the 26 of December 2023.

It is essential to note that the waste disposal facilities in the City of Tshwane. Comprising landfills and garden sites, will be closed on Christmas day, 25 December 2023.

This closure is in line with the holiday observance and ensures the safety and well-being of staff.
