‘Attempt to sway voters away’: ANC KZN on Jacob Zuma and MK

Former President Jacob Zuma made a shocking statement saying that he will neither vote nor campaign for the ANC in 2024.

The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has accused former President Jacob Zuma of attempting to sway voters away.

This comes as Zuma announced on Saturday, 16 December that he will not campaign nor vote for the ANC in the 2024 General Elections.

ANC KZN COMMENTS ON JACOB ZUMA AND MK PARTY

The former president made the announcement during his address in Soweto on Saturday, 16 December where he publicly expressed his support for Mkhonto WeSizwe Party for the 2024 elections.

Despite showing support from the MK Party and not casting a vote for the ruling party, Zuma said he remains a member of the ANC.

“I have always been ready to serve the ANC at any level and my track record reflects that. I truly believe in the mandate of the ANC and I will continue to serve my organisation. I will die a member of the ANC” says Zuma.

Following Zuma’s announcement, ANC KZN spokesperson Mafika Mndebele said it is the duty of each party supporter to defend and protect the movement.
