Stolen at gunpoint: Here’s what was in Angelo Agrizzi’s bag

Former Bosasa COO, Angelo Agrizzi, on Thursday, held at gunpoint and robbed of his belongings that he claims are worth an estimated R378 000.

As reported by Times Live, while Agrizzi was waiting to have his car filled up at a petrol station in Fourways, Johannesburg, two armed suspects approached his car with guns drawn.

What happened to Angelo Agrizzi?

According to police spokesperson, Captain Kay Makhubele, the robbery caught an unsuspecting Agrizzi off guard.

“While the victim was in his vehicle, with the window opened, he felt something touching him next to his right ear. When he looked up he saw two unknown armed men, one of them pointing a firearm at him,” he revealed.

In a matter of seconds, the suspects made it off with items we could not make out in the grainy footage taken from the station’s CCTV camera.

What did the suspects take from Agrizzi’s car?

However, according to embattled 51-year-old, the robbers made it off with a number of valuable items he kept in his bag.

According to Captain Makhubele, items stolen from Agrizzi include:

• a wristwatch;
• Apple MacBook;
• five Montblanc pens; and
• wallet with an undisclosed amount of cash and cards

“They were all dressed in black clothing and wearing balaclavas. No shots were fired and there were no injuries,” Captain Makhubele confirmed.

A week to forget for Agrizzi

The unfortunate incident befell the state capture whistleblower a day after he appeared before the Equality Court on hate speech charges that were laid against him for referring to his former colleague, Papa Leshabane by the K-word.

Proceedings were postponed for 27 June after both parties hoped for an out-of-court settlement which should cost Agrizzi, at the very least, a six-figure amount.
