In the latest incredible sighting, a Martial eagle killed a young impala between the fifth and eighth holes late last week.

Writing on their Facebook page, the Skukuza Golf Club posted: “A beautiful sighting of a Martial Eagle catching a baby impala on the course. This is the wildest course in the world after all.💁🐾🌱🌎 Expect the unexpected”

Martial eagles are the largest in Africa and possess incredible power, enough to knock an adult man off his feet. They weigh up to 6.5kg and have a wingspan of around 6 feet 4 inches.

The stories of wild animals wandering the fairways and tee boxes at the course is stuff of legend.

Playing 18 holes at Skukuza Golf Club is certainly a unique experience!

It’s not so much the bunkers and water hazards golfers need to be wary off, but rather the wildlife that roams freely.
