The British sports car company bills the new Aston Martin Vantage as the quickest model to wear the Vantage name.

The latest model features styling tweaks that bring it inline with its DB12 coupe sibling and 490kW/800Nm from its 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine.

The sleek sports car rides on 21-inch forged alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot S 5 tyres doing duty. It has a top speed of 325km/h, and the car can rocket from a standstill to 100km/h in a startling 3.5 seconds, according to The Citizen.

The Gaydon-based company says the Vantage’s new launch control system allows the car to deploy as much torque as conditions allow. It uses the E-Diff, ESP slip control and engine torque management to keep wheel slip in the optimal range throughout the launch.

The exterior has been tweaked to incorporate more design elements from the flagship DB12 model. On the new Aston Martin Vantage, the track has been widened by 30mm.

There is a completely redesigned front end featuring a 38% larger recontoured veined grille aperture. The carmaker says this offers a 29% increase in mass airflow for additional cooling.

Inside, the Vantage is replete with the firm’s new infotainment system. Sitting in the middle is a 10.25-inch Pure Black touchscreen. Aston Martin Connected Car is also available and combines the Vantage, the Aston Martin app and Aston Martin’s secure data servers.

Pricing for the local market has not been confirmed, and it’s likely the new Aston Martin Vantage will go on sale before the end of 2024.
