Yes, the longest zipline over the ocean will be opening this year at 1 100 meters (3608 feet) long which will give adventure seekers time ‘to take in the scenery’ and enjoy unparalleled views of the cliffs, ocean and sea life. The zipline over the ocean reportedly speeds up to 80km/h.

Mossel Bay Zipline opening details

While the zipline in Mossel Bay is not open yet, organisers intend to have this zipline stand ‘as a new benchmark for an adventure experience and enhance Mossel Bay’s already amazing product offering’.

At the moment they are waiting for better weather conditions before they open the zipline to the public.

“Building one of the world’s top ziplines takes years and months of meticulous planning, not to mention the amount of funds needed for such a venture,” organisers said on Facebook. “Once we have a fixed date for opening, we will post the date on our page as well as our website. Weather at this stage of installation has thrown us a small curve ball and we simply waiting for better weather to finalise the date.”
