Which SASSA grant is the next to pay?

According to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), the country receives millions worth in social grants each month.

According to the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), the country receives millions worth in social grants each month.

Beneficaries include the Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant, the R350-SRD Grant, the Childcare Grant, the Disability Grant – and also the Veterans and In-Aid Grants.

Payment dates have been released for February, 2024.

Which SASSA grant is the next to pay?

The next expected SASSA grant is the Child (Children’s) Grant, which pays out on 6 February, 2024.

Child Grants are meant for the care of underaged children and minors. If you need assistance with care costs, you can apply for your grant via the social security agency as their guardian.

The R350-SRD Grant is expected to pay out later this month.

SASSA payment dates for February, 2024

Other SASSA payments, including the Older Persons (Pensioners) Grant and the Disability Grant have been paid.

The Older Persons Grant paid on 2 February, 2024. The Disability Grant paid on 5 February, 2024.

Child Grant recipients can expect their payments on Tuesday (6 February).

SASSA news for 2024

Gold cards didn’t expire during December 2023. All gold cards are still considered valid for grant collection.

Recipients can also collect payments at Postbank-points until April. After this, Postbank will be phased out as a potential payment method – and social grants might go digital.

If you haven’t received your grant

If you haven’t received your social grant, contact the South African Social Security Agency at their website. Rejected grants must be appealed in writing, within 30 days.


Social grants can be collected at approved national payment points, including SPAR, PNP, and Boxer Superstores.
