There is something to be said for the French. They certainly know how to do sophistication and elegance. France’s national airline will serve business class passengers their meals in elegant cardboard boxes.

Air France has introduced tastefully designed cardboard boxes with handheld edibles, including sandwiches and cakes for business class passengers on short domestic flights.

SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS

The move is definitely one that goes a long way in enhancing the sustainability of flights as well as mitigating the impact of flying on the environment.

The boxes will help Air France to achieve its environmental targets, as waste can now be sorted onboard.

In addition, the cardboard boxes do away with the need for heavy cutlery and crockery, thus making the aircraft lighter. This helps Air France to lower its carbon footprint.
