Recipe of the Day: Easy winter vegetable soup [Video]

When winter is cold and we want to stay cozy, we always want soup and there are so many great recipes out there. Vegetable soup is a South African favourite and this easy winter vegetable soup is inspired by flavours and traditions in Cape Town. Packed with vegetables and spices, this flavourful sou will get you excited to have a heartwarming meal with the family.

The recipe isn’t vegetarian as there are chicken necks to add flavour and gelatin to the recipe. If you want to deepen the flavour, give the chicken some colour in the oven or in a pan (you can also use chicken wings). Add some leeks, a bit more chili or any of your favourite vegetables you think will go well with this hearty stew. The recipe in the video below is a great place to start.
