There’s just something great about a tender cut of meat that’s been crumbed and deep fried. One of the most popular dishes to do this with is the pork schnitzel. Our homemade pork schnitzel uses buttermilk which adds to the tenderness and flavour while the panko crumbs provide extra crunch. You can even play around with different seasonings to make your lunch or dinner even tastier than you could have ever imagined.

Homemade pork schnitzel suggestions

Pork is very high in protein and essential vitamins. It also contains minerals and amino acids that your body needs to function well. However, we are indulging a bit with the buttermilk and crumbs, so today, we don’t worry about that too much. You can trim the fat off of the chops if you really do want to, especially if the fat cap is very large. Remember to flatten the pork chop a bit with a meat mallet. Have a mustard mayo dip ready if you want to add some extra flavour to each bite.
