Staying cool this summer should be simple and delicious. Do you remember grandma’s homemade holiday ginger beer? It was ice cold, refreshing and a little bit spicy which kept you running back for more and asking for the recipe. Well, this classic ginger beer recipe is easy to put together and only takes about a day. Whether you’re going to spend the day by the pool or need something to stay cool at the beach, this recipe is for you.

Holiday ginger beer tips

Try and use mason jars or bottles made for self-bottling beers so that you can open them to let them breathe safely. Not only can you add some rasins into the beer which is a classic but get a bit creative. Add some orange peel into the drink or garnish with a slice of lemon and mint for presentation and taste. Use filtered water which won’t affect the flavour of your ginger beer and adjust the ingredients to your preferred taste.
