Whiskey, around for hundreds of years and enjoyed by millions. If you love chocolate too, you’ll love these chocolate whiskey truffles which are rich, sweet and pack a tiny punch. If you have an event planned with your best friends or something like a whiskey tasting or themed party, these truffles are the way to go. They are very easy to make and great for a big crowd of adults.

Most of the alcohol will evaporate but you’ll still get your familiar whiskey flavour. You can even experiment with different whiskeys and high alcohol per volume percentage will hold up much better with this recipe. Give them a dusting of cocoa powder and serve. They are sweet, soft and melt in your mouth. You can make multiple batches and get creative with decorations too. Great with your favourite drink too.

Ingredients

  • 125 ml 125 coconut cream

  • 250 ml 250 dark chocolate

  • 250 ml 250 milk chocolate

  • 1 cup 1 diced coconut

  • 1 cup 1 broken biscotti

  • 5 ml 5 whiskey

  • 50 ml 50 dark cacao powder

Method

  • Heat the coconut cream in a saucepan. Remove from the heat.
  • Add the chocolate until melted. Add the dry ingredients and whiskey and stir well.
  • Allow to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Roll in balls and dust with cacao powder.
