If you have friends coming over, you want to treat them with amazing food and desserts. There are so many desserts to finish the evening off with but they should be simple. Nothing is as simple as the humble cocoa ball. However, you might want something to go along with the alcoholic beverages if it’s only adults at the event. These chocolate brandy balls are perfect for that post-dinner snack as you sit at the table having a good time.

Chocolate brandy balls tips

The recipe is very simple and you’re welcome to change things as you want to. You can increase or change some ingredients for a different or preferred consistency. YOu can make a chocolate sauce to go with them. Top them with coconut, more cocoa powder or crushed nuts like walnuts or almonds. Use your favourite brandy and you can make them as strong as you want to. The whole recipe can be increased for a bigger crowd.

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp 4 brandy

  • 120 g 120 cocoa powder

  • 2 tbsp 2 milk

  • Optional toppings
  • crushed or flaked nuts

  • coconut shavings

  • extra cocoa powder

Method

  • Mix all of the ingredients above and leave in the fridge for 1 – 2 hours until firmed-up.
  • Scoop out balls and shape them to the size of walnuts.
  • Top with your preferred topping like cocoa powder, coconut, nuts, etc.
  • Leave in an airtight container in the fridge and they will last a week.
