Ingredients

  • 150 g all-purpose flour

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder

  • ½ cup of melted vegan butter

  • 1 egg

  • ½ cup of vegan chocolate chips (optional)

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and, grease a muffin tray.
  • Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Add the wet ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Spoon into the muffin moulds then bake in the oven for 15 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Once baked, allow to cool and then transfer to a cooling rack and dust with some icing sugar.
