The days are getting hot quickly here in South Africa and you know what that means. It means that it’s braai time! Putting big pieces of high-quality meat on the grill or braai is what we do, it’s part of our heritage and Heritage Day is almost here. Our BBQ & Red Wine Steak is the perfect way to celebrate food, friends and family in our Rainbow Nation.

This barbeque sauce, Worcestershire sauce and red wine marinade is so simple to make and you can use it as a basting sauce as it cooks. For the best results, marinate the steak an hour or more before putting it onto the grill or braai. If you are using a cast-iron pan, make sure that your steak doesn’t burn but it is a quick way to cook this amazing piece of meat. This BBQ & Red Wine Steak is perfect for the braai or any type of grilling method of your choice. Keep basting and serve with your choice of starch, like potatoes, and any other great sides.

BBQ & Red Wine Steak is perfect for a spring braai right here in South Africa or anywhere else. It’s time to light that fire this summer!
