Serve chilled in a rocks glass filled with ice on a hot summer afternoon or enjoy as a tasty sundowner. Make sure you prepare enough when you have guests over as one glass of this revitalising drink is seldom enough. But, on the other hand, it only takes 10 minutes to put this cocktail together, so you can quickly mix another batch together.

Ingredients

  • Sugar Syrup
  • 250 g 250 sugar

  • ½ cup ½ water

  • ½ cup ½ lime juice

  • Gin Iced Tea
  • 50 ml 50 ClemenGold Gin

  • 15 ml 15 lime juice

  • 50 ml 50 rooibos iced tea (lemon works well)

  • 10 ml 10 sugar syrup

  • 3 dashes 3 orange bitters

  • a few sprigs of fresh oregano

Method

  • Sugar Syrup
  • Place all the ingredients in a pan and heat until the sugar dissolves.
  • Bring to the boil and simmer until it achieves a syrupy consistency.
  • Gin Iced Tea
  • Shake ingredients in a shaker filled with ice.
  • Serve in a rocks glass filled with ice.
  • Garnish with fresh oregano.
