Dwayne Johnson makes surprise return to Fast X

Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, announced that he’s put aside his years-long beef with Fast X lead actor Vin Diesel.

Dwayne Johnson made a surprise return to the Fast and Furious franchise after misssing the nine installment.

The 51-year-old wrestler-turned-actor appeared in the post-credits scene of Fast X which was released on 19 May 2023.

In the previous years, the actor known to many as The Rock, appeared to kiss goodbye to the Fast family following a fallout with the franchise’s lead actor Vin Diesel. The two however, seem to have squashed their beef for good it seems.

Finally Dwayne THE ROCK Johnson is back

The feud between the duo resulted in them no longer working together on the Fast & Furious franchise and Dwayne went to star in 2019 Fast and Furious spin-off called Hobbs & Shaw.

Dwayne joined the Fast family back in 2011 as US agent Luke Hobbs. His character was met with critical acclaimed in Fast 5 and he continued to play the role until Fate and Furious.

Following the release of F9 in 2021. Dwayne Johnson said there was “no chance” he would return to the series, despite pleas from fans and Diesel at the time.

Many were not expecting to see The Rock back in the franchise but the former WWE superstar appeared in the post credits scene which delighted the Fast universe.

This week, Dwayne confirmed that he was back.

“So I am 100% confirming to you guys around the world that yes, it is true. Hobbs is back,” he said on his Twitter account.

“Hobbs is back in the Fast & Furious franchise.”

“Last summer Vin and I put all the past behind us,” Dwayne added.

“We’ll lead with brotherhood and resolve – and always take care of the franchise, characters & FANS that we love.”
