Eben Etzebeth has been dubbed one of the most celebrated Springboks players with an illustrious career spanning years.
Over the years, he has been influential in the Springboks squad since 2012.

EBEN ETZEBETH’S AGE REVEALED
Etzebeth had his first Springbok squad call in 2012. He debuted in the second row alongside debutant Juandre Kruger on 9 June at Kings Park Stadium, Durban, in 2012.
Since then, he has been a regular and was part of South Africa’s squad for the 2019 Rugby World Cup.
South Africa went on to win the World Cup in 2019. However, despite the ongoing Rugby World Cup in France, Mzansi has been trying to connect the dots on the squad’s player’s age.

Mzansi was more than convinced that this could be the last dance for many players, given that the next World Cup will be in 2027. Eben Etzebeth has been topping trends after his age was implicated in the mix.
Many were more than convinced that this could be his last dance. The 31-year-old lock was born on 29 October 1991 in Cape Town, South Africa. He will turn 32 in October and 35 during the next World Cup in 2027.

CAREER
He started his career with West Province in 2009 and left in 2011 for amateur team UCT Ikey Tigers.
In 2012, he joined the West Province senior team and has won big in the field since then.
Over the years, he has starred for several clubs, including Stormers and Toulon. He plays for the Sharks, and his contract will run out in 2027.
