University of Cape Town student Zuki Lamani is topping trends after controversial blogger Musa Khawula made a plea on her behalf to source tuition fees.

She is pursuing a Bachelor Of Arts in Linguistics and Media Studies at the University of Cape Town. However, the bubbly Zuki needs financial assistance to foot her UCT bill, which amounts to R240 000, to re-register her studies.

Reports have it that she has exhausted all the avenues, including the National Student Financial Aid Scheme, which rejected her, citing her household income cap being a stumbling block.

However, in the mix of things, her plea has since thrust her into the limelight. No doubt she is topping trends for the wrong reasons.

Several South Africans have since taken a swipe at Zuki and shared their thoughts on her viral videos living it up with friends.

In one video making rounds, she posted herself living it up at the last year’s Durban July. She had a VIIP tag which she showed off to her followers. She could be seen sharing an all-exclusive venue with South African A-listers.

Many were puzzled about how she could foot for events like Durban July, failing to source some of her fees.

Despite making it known in one of her videos that she was always invited to all exclusive parties, social media users urged her to turn to those friends for help.
