CAR WRECK REPLICA FROM ‘THE CROWN’ DUBBED ‘SICK’

The Crown‘s replica of the car wreck which carried the late Princess of Wales is causing quite a stir.

The Mirror reports the replica was covered and transported to Paris to film scenes for The Crown‘s sixth season.

A source told MailOnline: “I think a lot of people will find it quite sick that they went into such detail to recreate how the car was smashed up.”

“I think it’s going to cause a lot of upset with the Royal Family, if it was any other family, I’m not sure they’d do it,” the source added.

Simone Simmons, a former friend of Princess Diana, told The Sun scenes surrounding their mother’s death will force Princes William and Harry to relive “the most painful time of their lives.”

“I think it’s disgusting and sick, why are they setting out to upset William and Harry? The makers of this programme do not care about the heir to the throne and everything he has been through,” Simmons said.

The show has previously come under fire for its factual credibility.

In October last year, the late Queen Mother’s biographer, William Shawcross, also spoke out.

He told The Telegraph that the show features “half-truths encased in lace and velvet.” This only fueled the ongoing debate about The Crown‘s many story twists.

During a recent interview with Express.co.uk, celebrity guru Carla Speight agrees, saying:

“Netflix have made no secret about their subscribers dropping, they’ve even resorted to dropping their membership fees in more than 30 countries recently in a bid to retain subscriptions.”

PLANS TO USE REPLICA OF MANGLED MERCEDES

The award-winning show, The Crown, has since its first season ruffled feathers.

Throughout the seasons viewers and royal experts often claimed the show alters the truth to perhaps get more viewers.

The latest season, still in production, is yet again raising eyebrows.

MailOnline revealed a photo of a replica of the mangled car in which the late Princess Diana was driving when she died.

The late Princess of Wales and Dodi Fayed tragically died in the early hours of August 31, 1997. The S-Class they were traveling in crashed at the Pont de l’Alma tunnel in Paris.

The episode of Princess Diana’s last moments is predicted to appear in season 6.

“I think a lot of people will find it quite sick that they went into such detail to recreate how the car was smashed up,” a source told MailOnline.

“I think it’s going to cause a lot of upset with the Royal Family. If it was any other family, I’m not sure they’d do it.,” the source added.
