Taylor Swift recently celebrated her 33rd birthday and Swifties all over the world joined in the celebrations.

The singer spent her birthday in her happy place -in the studio along with longtime collaborator and pal Jack Antonoff. She shared a photo on social media with the caption: “Thanks for all the beautiful wishes today!! I spent my 33rd birthday in the studio of course 😏 Wouldn’t have it any other way. Love you!”

In true Swifties fashion, fans have been trying to fill in the blanks by taking a closer look at the photo.

One fan theory currently doing the rounds is that the Grammy winner is releasing the updated version of her sixth studio album Reputation. The release will form part of the singer’s plan to release her own versions of the albums she released while at Big Machine Label Group.

“Dollar on the keyboard, dollar in LWYMMD music video,” wrote one fan on Twitter, referencing Taylor’s glitzy music video for ‘Look What You Made Me Do’.”
The fan further noted other smaller details, including the fact that the song uses a cello—which is seen in the photo—and it interpolates a song from Speak Now, “Innocent,” which the fan notes features a bass, as reported by E!News

Other fans speculate that her post is more of a nod to her 2010 Speak Now album than the Reputation album. Or, that instead of releasing one album, she’ll be releasing the new versions of the three remaining albums she has yet to drop: 1989, Speak Now, and Reputation (she has so far released rerecorded editions of Red and Fearless in 2021), E!News reports.

ANOTHER REASON TO CELEBRATE

Apart from her birthday, the ‘Anti-Hero’ singer had more reason to celebrate after the ‘Shake it Off’ copyright court case has been dropped.

The two songwriters accusing Swift of copying their lyrics in the 2014 hit ‘Shake It Off’, have reportedly dropped the lawsuit. Swift was accused of copying the lyrics of the song ‘Playas Gon’ Play’.

According to The Guardian, Sean Hall and Nathan Butler told a Los Angeles federal judge they will dismiss their 2017 case with prejudice, which means it cannot be refiled. The trial was set to begin in January 2023.

It is unknown if a settlement was reached.
