DJ Sithelo Shozi and Andile Mpisane’s child custody woes continue

Child custody woes between socialite DJ Sithelo Shozi and Andile Mpisane continue.

TimesLive reports that the two were hauled before Point of Family Court on Monday in a legal battle over their child’s custody.

This is not the first the two have appeared in court.

DJ SITHELO SHOZI AND ANDILE APPEAR IN DURBAN COURT

Shozi dropped a shocking claim earlier this year when she revealed that she has been fighting for her child since March last year.

The bubbly DJ accused Andile and his mother, Shauwn Mkhize, of not returning her child to her after a visit.

With the legal battle over the custody of the three-year-old daughter before the courts, many have sympathised with Sithelo.

A source said: “Andile appears unbothered and bored. The matter includes discussions around the children and the Mpisanes ‘keeping them illegally’ and not returning them to her.” 

However, following the court appearance, South Africans were left guessing and trying to connect the dots regarding who has child custody rights.

RELATIONSHIP WOES

During a court session in January, Mpisane’s legal team led by Ntsako Godi denied child abduction allegations and made it known they would oppose Shozi’s application.

This is not the first time the two have hogged headlines for the wrong reasons.

In July 2022, Sithelo accused Andile of gender-based violence.

The Masked Singer SA judge shared screenshots and recordings of Andile’s alleged threats during their short-lived relationship.

Since then, she has dragged Andile to court several times, from abduction to abuse allegations.
