South Africans react to DJ Maphorisa’s arrest: ‘Ziyakhala ke manje ngempela’
South Africans have flooded social media with their two cents in reaction to DJ Maphorisa’s arrest after allegedly assaulting Thuli Phongolo.

Social media was set abuzz after it was reported that DJ Maphorisa was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend Thuli Phongolo.
City Press reported DJ Maphorisa was nabbed for allegedly assaulting Phongolo at her Sandton home.

What left many puzzled was that Thuli Phongolo once rubbished claims of being in a relationship with Maphorisa, despite viral pictures that flooded social media.
In the wake of DJ Maphorisa’s arrest South Africans have since taken to social media to add their two cents.
Thabe-Mohale shared: “Women will bring you down easily…be careful gents.”
Sifundo Mqwala posted: “Ziyakhala ke manje ngempela… Yep that’s what happens when you date for clout not because genuinely u were into each other.”
Mandla Afro-centric Khethe commented: “Wake up Phori you Gon go down king!”
Mpho Letsaalo said: “She got what she wanted and now she wants to leave with it… Phori, you were not what she wanted bro!”

MORE ABUSE ALLEGATIONS RESURFACE
Other social media users have called for a cancel culture after his arrest.
On the other hand, many demanded to hear his side of the story.
However, little is known regarding how long the two have been dating. They were reportedly in a relationship in 2021, but they swept the rumours under the carpet.
A source in the music industry fueled the fire regarding the charges.
The source claimed that this was not the first time the two have had a heated argument.
The source said: “They had a fight in early December after accusations of infidelity. They had another fight last month, but never got to the police station.”

With infidelity claims surfacing, South Africans have been trying to connect the dots on their affair.
Maphorisa is expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on charges of assault.
