The deputy president of an anti-crime forum in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), called Isikebhe, has said that they had to deal with former Ukhozi FM presenter Sbu Buthelezi in their own way for his alleged crimes – Daily Sun reports.

This comes after reports that the businessman was captured and his parents’ home vandalised by the vigilante group who forced entry at the weekend.

EX-RADIO HOST PROMISES TO PAY BACK THE MONEY

In a recorded video, members of the Isikebhe forum talk to Buthelezi who has reportedly dodged three meetings the anti-crime group called.

“I’m Sbu Buthelezi. I would like to first apologise to Isikebhe for not being available when they summoned me about the Msibi family money.

“I promised that on 30 June, I will pay half of the amount that I owe them, then I will pay the balance on 15 July. I will deposit it in the Isikebhe bank account,” said Buthelezi.

Isikebhe deputy president, Zakhele Mncube, said that there will be dire consequences should he not pay the money.

“If he doesn’t pay as promised, the worst will happen to him.

“We spoke to him the Isikebhe way and he apologised and promised to pay back the money. After reaching an agreement, we took him to the police station to sign the agreement that he will pay and we then let him go,” he said.
