King Charles, who is battling cancer, got moved to tears at Buckingham palace. This happened as he delved into over 7,000 heartfelt letters and cards sent by well-wishers from across the world.

KING CHARLES READS POST CARDS AND LETTERS

Buckingham Palace shared a heartwarming video on social media, capturing the poignant moments as the 75-year-old king read through the outpouring of love and support as reported by the New York Post.

The video, shot in the 18th Century Room of the Belgian Suite in Buckingham Palace, kicks off with a light tone as King Charles opens a card featuring a cartoon dog wearing a cone.

KING CHARLES’ TOKENS OF ENCOURAGEMENT

Playfully, he reads aloud, “King Charles, at least you don’t have to wear a cone.” The Correspondence Team at Buckingham Palace revealed that these tokens of encouragement arrived via snail mail.

It has filled the monarch’s daily red box of paperwork.

The emotional journey unfolds as the video showcases snippets of the messages. They range from funny letters to heartfelt expressions of personal experiences with cancer.

SUPPORTERS WISH THE MONARCH WELL

Some letters offer advice for a speedy recovery, while others simply convey good wishes. One message resonates, emphasizing the importance of family.

This deeply touched the king.

Expressing gratitude, the video showed messages, highlighting the immense comfort and encouragement derived from the support.

KING CHARLES GETS MOVED EMOTIONALLY

King Charles, visibly moved, remarked, “Such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.”

This beautiful scene comes on the heels of King Charles’ first face-to-face meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak since the start of his cancer treatment.

During the encounter, the king shared, “I’ve received many heartwarming messages and cards. They’ve brought tears to my eyes most of the time.”

Even his estranged son, Prince Harry, rushed from Los Angeles to London upon learning about his father’s diagnosis.

GOOD MORNING AMERICA

In an interview with Good Morning America, Harry expressed hope that the difficult situation could have a “reunifying effect” on the royal family. He emphasised the strength that family unity brings during times of illness.
