PRINCESS KATE’S SWEET TRIBUTE

On Sunday, 12 November for Remembrance Sunday Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton joined politicians, veterans and other members of the royal family to pay tribute to the British troops who fought in the two world wars.

For this ceremony Princess Kate wore military style black coat, paired with a black hat. She completed her look with red poppy flowers pinned to the collar of her coat.

The red poppy pins are symbols of remembrance and hope. These pins are worn to show support and honour the Armed forces community.

While both Queen Camilla and Princess Kate looked beautiful at the ceremony, the real stars of the day were Kate’s earrings, which are reported to be a nod to the late Queen Elizabeth. Many have speculated that the earrings may resemble a diamond and pearl leaf brooch that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth.

The brooch was last seen when Queen Elizabeth wore it to her 73rd birthday in South Korea. It has three large pearls surrounded by diamond leaves.
