‘EVERY SECOND WITH THEM IS MAGICAL’

According to the Daily Mail Princess Gabriella Thérèse Marie and Prince Jacques Honoré Rainier were born on December 10, 2014, by caesarean section at the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco.

At the time of their birth Princess Charlene expressed her joy and said that she was “crazy in love” with her twins.

“What I can tell you is that they are both very active and very expressive. They are beautiful, adorable”, she once told a magazine.

The Princess of Monaco also told of the moment the children arrived and admittedly noted that she was very nervous and worried about the health of her twin babies who had arrived two weeks early.

“At first, I was happy to hear their first cries. I was obviously a bit overwhelmed with emotion”, the princes shared.

Princess Charlene continued: “Every second with them is magical. I look forward to spending more time in their presence”.

PRINCESS CHARLENE AND PRINCE ALBERT’S TWINS TURN EIGHT

Gabriella was born first at 5.04pm, with her twin brother following two minutes later, a statement from the palace confirmed at the time.

While Jacques is a few minutes younger than his twin sister, Gabriella, Monaco is still governed by male-preference primogeniture meaning that the eldest son will inherit the throne over any older sisters.

The twins’ births were celebrated with 21 cannon shots each, 15 minutes of church bells and boat horns.

In a new portrait shared by the Palace of Monaco’s Instagram account on Sunday, honoured the eight-year-old twins with a sweet birthday message.

“Happy Birthday Prince James and Princess Gabriella”, the post read in French.

Prince Jacques looked regal in his military uniform as he wrapped his arm around his sister’s shoulders.

Princess Gabriella, who is splitting image of her mother, wears a bespoke double-breasted navy coat designed by Parisian fashion house Didierangelo.
