‘One of your best’: Rasta honours Black Coffee with a celebratory portrait

Rasta has proven he has what it takes after painting a portrait of Black Coffee to celebrate the DJ’s recent Grammy Award win.

It’s not every day Rasta The Artist manages to impress Twitter users with his artwork. This is because Rasta has built himself a reputation for celeb portraits that often don’t look like the people he meant to paint. This time, however, Tweeps have been singing Rasta’s praises after he painted a portrait of Black Coffee to celebrate the musician’s recent Grammy win.

Rast as joined thousands, perhaps even millions of South Africans in celebrating local DJ, Black Coffee’s Grammy Award win.

The We Dance Again hitmaker walked off the stage with the award for Best Dance/Electronic Album on 4 April this year.

Taking to Twitter, Rasta shared snaps of himself standing by the portrait which was surprisingly amazingly done and represented Black Coffee pretty well. He captioned the post:

“Black Coffee made us proud🏁🎙️🎚️🎛️. A Grammy is a true definition of hard work. Music Siyakhuthala, Sbonge. #blackcoffee #grammyawards #GrammyAwards2022.”

Mzansi absolutely loves to see it

The post went down pretty well with both Rasta’s fans and Black Coffee’s fans who agreed that this could be the artists’ best work to date.
