Papa Penny and Bushida Coffee have seemingly squashed their beef. In a new video, the reality TV star and musician clears the air.

South African musician Papa Penny — real name Eric Kulani Giyani Nkovani — has been trending on Twitter since Sunday evening. This after he shared a video of himself slamming a local DJ for remixing his song. In his video, he demanded that the DJ, Bushida Coffee remove the song, immediately.

It looks like it is all water under the bridge for Papa Penny after Bushida shared a video explaining that he had contacted Penny and explained everything.

Papa Penny slams DJ who remixed his song

If there is one thing about Limpopo musician Papa Penny, it is that he never keeps quiet about things that upset him.

He proved himself to be quite fierce on Sunday evening last week after he shared a video of himself blasting a DJ called Bushida Coffee for remixing his hit song Hayi Ka Mina Hee.

In the clip, Papa demands that the song be removed from everywhere with immediate effect.

“Stop the rubbish you are doing. [If you want to use] anybody’s song, consult. Don’t be a fake artist. You cannot remix my song without asking me. You must do your own thing. Don’t play off my gift. Compose your own song, delete that nonsense, that rubbish now. Budaza Coffee, whatever,” he can be heard angrily saying.

All good and well

Bushida Coffee has since taken to TikTok to explain that it was all a misunderstanding. He shared that he had spoken to Papa Penny and the “beef” has been squashed.

“I know why people would be angry, I understand, and I spoke to Papa Penny during the day and we ended up talking about procedures and all was sorted.” 

He also confirmed that he has deleted the song after receiving threats in his inbox.
