Memorial service details for gospel singer Sechaba Pali’s wife

Award-winning gospel musician Sechaba Pali lost his wife, Nompilo Kunene, in a tragic car accident on Sunday.

The Pali and Kunene families have released the memorial service details following the passing of Nompilo Kunene who was the wife of gospilel icon Sechaba Pali.

NOMPILO’S MEMORIAL SERVICE DETAILS

Nompilo tragically lost her life in a car accident on Sunday, 10 September, in Thabong, Welkom in the Free State. She was travelling with her husband who was in the passenger seat and sustained a minor injury to his arm.

Her memorial service will be held at The Blood of Jesus Family Church in Jeppestown, Joburg on Thursday, 21 September. The service will start at 12:00.

STATEMENT FROM FAMILIES

In a joint statement on Wednesday, the families described Nompilo as a mother, sister, wife, daughter and gospel artist.

“To Sechaba Pali’s global supporters, it is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Nompilo Kunene, beloved partner to our son Sechaba Pali, who lost her life after succumbing to her injuries due to a car accident with our son, Sechaba present with her, also suffered bodily injuries this past Sunday, 10 September in Thabong, Welkom.

“Tears can be dry, but memories will never forget, deepest condolences to Pali’s family,” read the statement.

SECHABA PALI ON LOSING HIS WIFE

Speaking about his wife, whom he featured on his latest album Send Me on a song titled Thixo Bawo, Sechaba said that he will miss her kind heart.

“Mpilo was a giving woman of God. A few minutes before the accident, she gave some kids who were hungry R200 for food.

“I don’t know how to explain to my children that I left with their mother but she will not be coming back with me. I am heartbroken. Mpilo was an amazing singer. She was a great mother and I am heartbroken. I lost the mother of my child,” he told TshisaLIVE.
