Master KG is not one to give negativity about him much attention but when it comes to his relationship with fellow Limpopo-born musician Makhadzi, the Jerusalema hitmaker was not going to ignore rumours about a break-up.

On Saturday 28 May, the couple was hit with break-up rumours which the Dali Nguwe producer moved quickly to address.

According to Sunday World, Makhadzi (25) and Master KG are no longer an item. This was reported by the publication with no reasons behind the break-up or any details about the breakup.

Upon seeing the reports on social media, 26-year-old Master KG responded, making it clear that “this is not happening.”

“Baloi [witches] please drink water because this is not happening,” he said.

However, a break-up between the Haka Matorokisi hitmaker and the Skeleton Move DJ has happened before.

In 2020, Master KG took to his social media to announce that they had decided to amicably end their long-term relationship to focus on their careers.

“Me and Makhadzi parted ways months ago to focus on our careers. We are still young and we need to achieve big things. (We) hope everyone understands and respects that. I am no longer going to answer anything related to this. Thanks,” Master KG had written.

“Indeed it is true, it has come to an end of our relationship. Kindly respect our decision,” Makhadzi wrote on her social media to corroborate the news.

But it seems their bond was just way too strong to be broken by their budding careers as they rekindled their flame in 2021. Fans started seeing the pair all loved-up during their gigs in December and although the Ghanama singer tried to deny the news to TimesLIVE in January 2022, they eventually confirmed their relationship that month.

In her heartfelt post on Instagram on 31 January, Makhadzi posted a series of pictures with Master KG as she wished him a happy birthday.

“Besides being my soulmate you are one of the most humble artist I have ever met. Happy birthday to you and may god bless you with many years,” she wrote.
