The South African exclusively reported the development of the contract woes.

Open Mic Productions director Nkateko Maluleke said: “We will not be commenting on this issue as we are contractually bound by confidentiality provisions in the agreement entered into with our artist Makhadzi.”

Makhadzi took to social media to reveal that she never received a copy of her contract, and only the record label knows the contract’s clauses.

“Only Open Mic knows this clause alone, I requested my contract again yesterday maybe they will send it so I can see, the clause. As I said they never gave me a copy, they have been promising to send it to me for the past three years,” said Makhadzi.

CONTRACT CLAUSES LEAKED

However, an insider from the record label has since revealed a clause stipulating that Makhadzi will continue to work for the record label if they feel dissatisfied with her performance.

Confirmed reports have it that Makhadzi’s legal team is already trying to get out of the contract and are willing to fight tooth and nail with the record label to get her out of what they deemed a “silly contract.”
