The 2023 Miss Universe pageant takes place on the 19th of November and we’re taking a close look at what the potential winner gets to walk away with.

It’s almost time for the biggest pageant on the planet (and perhaps the Universe). Miss Universe will be kicking off at 03:00 on the 19th of November and South Africans will be waking up to cheer their winner, Bryoni Govender, on as she hopes to win the crown. She’s been labelled as an early favourite, and her fans will be extremely thrilled to see her become the fourth South African to wear the crown.

MISS UNIVERSE: WHAT WILL THE WINNER GET?
Winning Miss Universe is a life-changing experience. Earning the crown will change your profile forever and it enables you to truly give your projects a platform. However, outside of prestige and status, many have been wondering What Miss Universe actually gets as a prize. The winner of this year’s ceremony will be gifted first and foremost with the highly coveted Mouawad crown which is adorned with a beautiful jewel that is worth close to $5 million (R91 million). The crown is made out of diamonds and gold. As well as that, the winner will be gifted with a year’s worth of endorsements and support including an annual salary of around $250 000 (R4.5 million).

Along with the salary and the crown, the winner of this year’s Miss Universe will also get access to world-class makeup and skin care products, exclusive jewellery and just about anything else that she needs to be able to look beautiful on every day of the week.
