Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brandon Petersen is making headlines against the backdrop of the 180th edition of the Soweto Derby.

Orlando Pirates edged Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 in the epic encounter, which has since thrust Amakhosi into the top trends.

BRANDON PETERSEN SHOUTS AT CAVIN JOHNSON

After the final whistle, Brandon Petersen looked furious after his side’s defeat and even shouted at Chiefs coach Cavin Johnson. Petersen was shouting at his coach in a now-viral clip making rounds on social media. At some point, he seemingly pointed at Johnson.

Little is known about their conversion, but Brandon Petersen wasn’t happy. Jessica Motaung was also caught on camera shedding some tears after the defeat.

Angry Kaizer Chiefs fans also threw objects at the Kaizer Chiefs coach as he headed to the tunnel. During a post-match interview, the Orlando Pirates coach took a swipe at Kaizer Chiefs fans’ behaviour.

“I think both teams competed the way you have to compete in a derby. Honestly, I don’t know why the people are now upset and have started attacking their coach. I think the Chiefs did a good game,” Riveiro told SuperSport TV.

Kaizer Chiefs scored the opener ten minutes into the game. Ashley Du Preez scored the opener after a good run of play. Orlando Pirates talisman Saleng levelled later on before Du Preez scored his second.

Ten minutes into the second half, Lebitso equalised before Saleng sealed, which put Pirates ahead 20 minutes to the final whistle.

NEW AMAKHOSI COACH

Kaizer Chiefs fans want the club to get rid of Johnson despite the hierarchy confirming that he will coach the club until the end of the season.

Kaizer Chiefs are yet to appoint a permanent coach after the sacking of Nsteki. Against Ntseki’s sacking, the club appointed Cavin Johnson as interim coach until the end of the season.
