‘Most beautiful thing’: Vusi Nova gifted Zahara’s guitar collection

Many South Africans are still reeling over the passing of talented musician Zahara — real name Bulelwa Mkutukana. The singer died on Monday 11 December last shortly after her 36th birthday. Her sudden death sent shockwaves around the country and left her loved ones heartbroken.
Months after after her passing, her close friend and fellow artist Vusi Nova has revealed that her family gifted him her beloved guitar collection.

Vusi Nova shares how he was gifted Zahara’s guitar collection
Famous SA singer Zahara passed away at a Johannesburg hospital following a short stay in the Intensive Care Unit last year.
Her death saddened many who headed online to pay special tribute to the star.

Her long time close friend Vusi Nova was particularly heartbroken. In the weeks after her death, he dedicated many posts to the singer including old videos of the two of them spending time together.
Months later, Vusi headed online to share how her family honoured him with a special gift — Zahara’s guitar collection.
Heading online, he shared how much the gesture means to him:
“So, Zahara’s family did one of the most beautiful things ever! They dropped off some of her collection of guitars and said they knew she would have wanted me to have them. Thank you so much!” he wrote.

Many rushed to the comment section to discuss the magnitude of the gesture. A number of them admitted to crying after seeing the post.
They also shared kind words with Vusi Nova.
“Me watching you before reading the caption was like ‘this must be Zahara’s’…May her collection bring you some kind of healing bhuti. You deserved it,” one person wrote while another added:
“I hope this beautiful gesture will help with the healing”
