South Africans have revealed why they don’t support Bafana Bafana with the same energy they support the Springboks.

Fans have disclosed why they do not support Bafana Bafana like they support the Springboks.
A few months ago, the Springboks were out in France trying to defend their Rugby World Cup title.

The support they got from South Africans was so massive that it overshadowed competing countries.
Their support was mainly seen when Bongi Mbonambi was involved in a case with Tom Curry. Many South Africans came in numbers to defend Mbonambi on social media, silencing the English fans.

Now, the same level of support was expected with Bafana Bafana at the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).
Unfortunately, the support and the hype are way lower than expected, and the fans have told their reasons.
BAFANA BAFANA AND THE SPRINGBOKS HISTORY
One thing before we look into fans’ reasons: the two sides have different histories.
The Springboks are the most successful rugby national team, with 4 World Cups. Conversely, Bafana Bafana have yet to get into the finals of the FIFA World Cup.

They have also underperformed at tournaments like the Afcon, and even Samuel Eto’o was puzzled by their poor display.
“I am baffled as to why Bafana Bafana (The Boys) have constantly underperformed at the Cup of Nations,” he told AFP during a visit to South Africa.
