Sinazo Yolwa bags role in ‘Gqeberha: The Empire’
Model, actress, and television presenter Sinazo Yolwa has secured a role in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela, ‘Gqeberha: The Empire’.

Former Top Billing TV personality, Sinazo Yolwa has joined Eastern Cape-based telenovela Gqeberha: The Empire.
SINAZO YOLWA: LATEST ROLE
Entertainment commentator Jabu Mcdonald reports that model and actress Sinazo Yolwa has secured a role in Gqeberha: The Empire.
TVSA confirms that Yolwa will portray the role of Yoliswa in season two of the isiXhosa show.
Yolwa is popularly known for presenting So You Think You Can Dance season one and three, Real Goboza and The Link.
The TV personality has also acted in The Wild as Victoria, Single Guyz as Sibahle and many more.
‘GQEBERHA: THE EMPIRE’ RENEWED
DStv renewed the popular isiXhosa telenovela, Gqeberha: The Empire for a second season at the end of December 2023.
“The much-anticipated season, which is already in production, will see some exciting changes and additions to the cast as well as a story line that will grip viewers’ imagination and exceed expectations,” said the channel.
The channel adds that season two will give renewed meaning to the word ‘commitment’ when the dynamics of the Mxenge family, their empire will have viewers wondering what is coming next.
The Eastern Cape-based telenovela also introduced award-winning actor Bongile Mantsai as Luzuko’s brother, Hlumelo Mxenge in November.
The Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa (BRCSA) February figures reveal that Qgeberha: The Empire secured third place with 724 812 viewers.
The telenovela scored 862 172 viewers in January while Umkhokha scored 862 172 viewers in January.
