Orlando Pirates wonderkid Relebohile Mofokeng is making headlines after it was confirmed that the Soweto giants starlet will return to school this year.

The news has since thrust him into the top trends as Mzansi tries to connect the dots about his future.

RELEBOHILE MOFOKENG GOES BACK TO SCHOOL

Against the development, the star can play for Pirates despite enrolling at the Gordon Institute of Business Sciences (GIBS) in Johannesburg. Relebohile and several Premier League stars will be part of this season’s PSL Player Transition Programme at GIBS.

Some notable players enrolled for this season’s classes include Sandile Mthethwa, Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Reyaad Pieterse.

The participants will be able to choose two electives from an array of options. Some courses offered at the business institute include Coach Education, Project Management, Facility Management, Business Innovation, and Social Entrepreneurship.

He joins a host of Premier League players who have benefited from the PSL Player Transition Programme. Kaizer Chiefs captain Itumeleng Khune and Innocent Maela were amongst the 2022 graduates.

CAREER

Relebohile Mofokeng started his youth career with Transet School of Excellence and Amandl/Vaal Juventus FC before joining Pirates for the 2022-23. In 2023, he joined the senior squad and has had his share of fame.

The 19-year-old star has been winning big since his thrust into the limelight. In 2023, he hogged headlines after having trials with English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves). He is undoubtedly enjoying his stay with the Soweto giants Orlando Pirates.
