‘Disrespectful’: Nota slammed over nasty Prof Phakeng comment

Former University of Cape Town Vice Chancellor Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng found herself trending over the weekend after a photo of her with her belly button sticking out went viral. The photo was harshly criticised by X users who have deemed it “inappropriate for a woman her age”. Not backing down, she slammed those who had anything negative to say.
And now controversial entertainment manager Nota Baloyi has also shared what many considered a very disrespectful comment on prof Phakeng.

Prof Phakeng continues to ruffle feathers
Former vice chancellor of the University of Cape Town Mamokgethi Phakeng constantly finds herself putting small fires out online.
This weekend she topped X trends — after she shared a picture of herself with her belly button sticking out.

She is is well known for ruffling feathers and this time it is no different.
In the comment section of her post, she was called out for dressing and behaving “inappropriately” for her age.
“This inappropriate for a wife and mother!!! You are in your mid 40s!! Put the tummy and ripped jeans away! Women that dress like teenagers are sad!” one strongly opinionated social media user commented under photo.
As usual, Prof Phakeng did not back down from these comments and made it known that she couldn’t care less what other people think of the way she clothes herself.
“Who decides what’s appropriate and what’s not?” she wrote in response.
Nota enters the chat
Nota Baloyi, who had clearly been following this X trend, also weighed in Professor Phakeng and her content.
“Old Marhosha, doing the splits to force a fake thigh gap,” he commented on one of her latest photos.
