A small group of Nigerian men recently took their frustrations out on a flat-screen TV after the Super Eagles were defeated by the Ivory Coast national soccer team at the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.

CONGRATS? NIGERIA TAKES SECOND PLACE AT AFCON

Ivory Coast made victory on their home ground after they beat Nigeria 2-1 in the Afcon finals at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday, 11 February. Following the match, a video of some Super Eagles fans has gone viral on social media.

In the clip, a group of Nigerian men can be seen destroying a TV set and ripping it off from the wall before shattering it on the floor in frustration.

The Super Eagles fans had jaws dropped on social media after netizens saw their clip. Social media users couldn’t believe the Nigerian fans’ reactions when they lost against Ivory Coast.

As the 2023 Afcon tournament has come to an end, Bafana Bafana players are set to return to South Africa on Wednesday, 14 February with their bronze medals.

The South African national soccer team took third place at the Afcon tournament recently after they were beaten by Nigeria in the semi-finals. TshisaLIVE reported that Bafana Bafana has exceeded expectations at the Afcon, ranking 66th in the world and 12th in Africa.
