Footballer Sadio Mane marries 19-year-old bride in secret wedding

Footballer Sadio Mane showed off some of his wedding photos on X (the social media platform previously known as Twitter) on Tuesday, 9 January and was congratulated by several fans when he revealed that he recently tied the knot.

Sadio Mane got hitched to his newly-wedded bride in a secret wedding ceremony in Senegal, Daily Mail reported. The wedding is believed to have taken place on Sunday, 7 January in Keur Massar, an area in the capital city of Dakar. Family, friends and fellow footballers were reported to have made it to the guest list.

The former Liverpool striker married his 19-year-old girlfriend Aisha Tamba. The 31-year-old football star married the teen bride just days before leading Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast, The Sun reported.

He has since reportedly admitted to have received a bunch of lovely messages, congratulating him.

“Honestly, I am happy [with] the fact the President has congratulated me just as much as, well, I would say not just my team-mates. I think that all the people have congratulated me and wished me [luck] so I am happy and I hope that it’ll be okay,” Mane was quoted as saying on Tuesday.
