Patriotic Alliance leader Gayton McKenzie has been keeping the public and the community of Saldanha Bay up to date on his quest to find little Joslin Smith.

The seven-year-old girl who went missing on Monday, 19 February, has yet to be found.

However, the outspoken politician has shared his frustrations in what he claims is a delay of authorities to follow up on possible leads.

THE MYSTERY ROOM: IS KEY TO JOSLIN SMITH’S DISAPPEARANCE IN IT?

On Wednesday, 28 February, Gayton McKenzie had his followers glued to his social media platforms as he documented his search for Joslin Smith in Saldanha Bay.

This included wild car chases to find whom he believes are possible suspects involved in the disappearance of the Diazville young girl.

After a day filled with assisting police with possible leads, the former convict revealed that he had met with a couple who provided inside information about the case.

According to the couple, authorities had prevented them from searching a room in a local municipal building in the community. Gayton and his crew headed out to the building in the middle of the night, where security personnel claimed they needed special permission to access the room.

A frustrated Gayton asked: ‘What is behind that door?

“I can’t sleep knowing that there is somewhere that has not been searched.”

Gayton also claimed that police had warned him to “stay out of Saldanha Bay.”

He said: “I’ve got the means to fund the search party. Should I do nothing? You have been doing nothing about people who are suffering.

“You want me to sit at home and wait for cops? I’m being transparent. I’m not going to give up on Joslin. I’m going to make sure that nobody’s child goes missing”.
