‘Handsome like his dad’: Joost and Amor’s son turns 20 [photos]

Amor Vittone’s son Jordan has compared to his famous father Joost van der Westhuizen on his 20th birthday.

But with his dark hair and hazel eyes, the budding sports player is undoubtedly his dad’s double!

In 2017, Joost lost his battle with motor neurone disease at the age of 45 years old. At the time, Jordan was just 13 years old.

JOOST VAN DER WESTHUIZEN’S SON TURNS 20

On Tuesday, 16 January, Amor Vittone shared a heartfelt birthday wish to her firstborn son Jordan.

The actress and singer posted: “You have the most beautiful soul, heart, and manner. Your beautiful personality is infectious, and you make people laugh, always caring for others”.

She added: “Mom is so proud of you”.

Many of Amor’s Facebook followers commented how Jordan resembled her Springbok dad Joost van der Westhuizen.

“Handsome like his daddy,” commented one follower. Another added: “Joost would be so proud”.

Joost began playing for the Springok Juniors at just 21 and would make 89 test appearances for the national team between 1993 and 2003

CHOOSING SOCCER OVER RUGBY

Unlike Joost van der Westhuizen, his son Jordan has taken a different sporting path in soccer.

Having previously played for the Valencia youth academy as a goalkeeper, Jordan later joined the UK’s Reading Academy.

And he’s one step closer to his goal. According to Amor Vittone, Jordan is keen to one day play for his dream club, Liverpool.
